I was trying to quit webcomics and found a support group. Turns out the two guys I made friends with were just there to peddle their sick webcomics behind the bins outside. Jerks, now I'm using again and it's all their fault.

I totally forget how I found Panthera; it was almost a year ago. Chances are it was an ad somewhere....
Actually, scratch my first statement, I remember now. It was one of those side banners on EGS. (Amazing, how sitting back and actually trying to think for a minute or so can solve problems like that, eh?)

ORIGINAL AD:

SEEKING ARTIST FOR ORIGINAL SCI-FI WEB COMIC SERIES

After several years of making gaming parody web comics, both sprited (Mobius Strip) and in collaboration with an artist (Not For Resale), I’m currently developing a new, original, plotted science-fiction comic series called Panthera.

Presently, I am working on this project as a writer along with talented graphic designer J. M. “Pixellated” Bennett (who previously worked with me on Dire Peril, a feature-length Exterminatus Now fan fiction). We are now looking for an artist to join our team.

Panthera is the story of four teenagers, four big cats, and four classical elements—all the same four individuals. Themes include adventure, comedy, elemental powers, and non-anthropomorphic animal transformation. Currently, two full-length scripts (20-24 pages) are complete, with more planned.

We are not looking for an artist of any particular skill level; more important is artistic passion and dedication. (Liking sci-fi and big cats are also plusses!) We don’t envision a particular style; black-and-white manga would work as well as detailed color. Again, it’s more important that the style fit the artist’s vision. We’re very flexible!

If you (or anyone you know!) is/are interested, please contact us at redfox742@yahoo.com. There’s no commitment by e-mailing, of course. We can provide script drafts for review, and would be happy to check out anyone’s art.

Hope to hear from you soon!

D. Z. “RedFox” McRoy
J. M. “Pixellated” Bennett

If I know my webcomics correctly, that would be Exterminatus Now.

I have no idea how I found Panthera. I think it may have been through Slightly Damned.

EGS for me if I remember right, though I think they have advertised on several comics I read.

I found it the same way I find all my webcomics, from a link of another one. I read Slightly Damned so it could be that one... Though I have a feeling it's on someone's must read list... Maybe...

I think mine was also EGS, though it may have been Slightly Damned. Possibly even Housepets.

It's been a while since I started reading Panthera frequently (Feb. 2009/2010?), so I don't really remember where I got the link from, but I think it was an ad from another webcomic. I liked the art style and the story was good, so after a while I started visiting frequently to see if there were any updates.
Nowadays I visit the website about twice a day in hopes of a new update. A girl can dream, right?
