Ah, that's explain you're good level of English ^^,

There's a book with a girl with that name (Gwendolyn) and it's the name of one of my housemates rabbits. She speaks Welsh but is technically English and likes to make people's lives difficult by giving her pets odd names. I call the rabbit Gwen for simplicity.

They are all pretty names. At least the poor people who try to spell them have a good excuse.

I'm mostly self-taught, actually. XD

"Gwendolyn" isn't that odd a name for a pet. At least it's English. XD
My mother had two siamese cats she called Chang and Eng, and our current siamese cat is called Birra Bongse, after the last prince of Siam.

For what it's worth, KK, the name "Søren Oosterhuis" is meant to be half-Danish, half-Dutch, and is a joke to myself about how I always confused Denmark and the Netherlands as a kid.

^^, even more impressive. I totally suck at languages.

Your mum has a good sense of humour. My housemates snakes are oftern named after Anne Rice characters. She's also getting an albion pygmy hedgehog which looks quite evil and is already called Lilith

A little more on topic, will D.Z and Jeffk38uk be meeting more often?

... er, we live an ocean apart, and I have a new job that means I won't be taking a vacation for about three years. :p

The "ø" is used in Fries, a language spoken in the province Friesland (derr? XD).
I thought you knew that and confused the name because of that. XD
Is it obvious I'm a city girl and know next to no Friesian?

I do; I was being hyperbolic. However, my job involves extreme investment; I just barely have time for stuff like Panthera.
