No, seriously. Not a joke.

I was in Biology. We were watching a video and I heard something and I looked out the only open window and there was a trauma-helicopter landing on the grass in front of the school and a police car driving up.

From what I heard, the girl's ex-boyfriend was waiting for her. He told her, "I got you something, let's walk around the corner and I'll show you." It was her birthday yesterday, so she wasn't suspecting anything, and he stabbed her in the back four times.
I took a look at where she got stabbed. Her bag was still there, she dropped it and no one had picked it up for her after she went to the hospital.

The teachers were going "Go home or go to class" after that, so I didn't hear much at all. The news (link goes to Dutch website) says she's going to be okay, though, so that's a relief.
I was supposed to go to gym that period, but I was at least half an hour late, and Mr. Volkering and Ms. Van Bommel told us all to go home since no one felt like gym anyway. (I'm pretty sure at least half of my class was going to skip gym anyways.)

I don't even know that girl (she was in 3Mavo and I'm in 5Havo), but it's still pretty damn horrifying...

Agreed. If you get dumped by your girlfriend, you do NOT, under ANY circumstances, attempt to stab her. Some people are just... eurgh.
Some people are celebrating the Eid ul-Fitr tomorrow. Imagine starting that when a girl you might know got stabbed the day before that.

I wonder how many people will show up for school tomorrow...

Mmm, it would be unsettling. You certainly wouldn't feel like celebrating.

I think they should - go back to school that is. I find the best way to get over shock is to act normally. It's the best way to let your brain adjust. Be solem sure, but always remember life has to go on and stoping it to continue for yourself will only make things feel worse.

I hope she gets better soon...

Before I got fired from working at my local movie theater there were two events similar to this, only there was no stabbing.

One was a mother waiting on her child to get out of a movie. Her ex-husband, who has a restraining order, violated it and jumped her outside of the theater.

About a week later, I was coming back from my break and a girl I knew from school was arguing with her ex, who was driving like a maniac through the parking garage earlier (and almost running ppl over), just because they'd broken up. He even stole her wallet. Needless to say she did call the police and I did escort her back into the building, and she got a full refund for the movie she was watching since she needed to go home.

I'll say it: I hate Red-necks.

Yeah, they did. They caught him in Spijkenisse, which is pretty much as far as you can go by public transport in one go. Thank God.

I'm good, I guess. Still pretty shocked, but I'm just going to go to school today and see how it goes.
Fact: the entrance we kids are supposed to use is four meters away from where that girl got stabbed. >.<

Ugh. Good luck Kingdom. Just remember she lived and the guy has been caught.

The first period after everybody got to class, our Chemistry-teacher told us not to talk to the press and tell them to go see the principal for interviews. She also told us that that girl, Luna, is fine and might get out of the hospital today, which is good.
I think it'd feel more normal if that bit of sidewalk wasn't avoided like the plague by the students when they usually lean against the walls there, though.

Still, it's an early weekend for all of us, so things will probably be better on Monday. Yay. ^^

Yeah... hopefully the long weekend will help the student body calm down about it a little. It's terrible--anyone hurting anyone else deliberately is sad to me, but a student doing something like that feels somehow worse :(

I'm glad you're doing ok, just as I'm glad the boyfriend has been arrested. Have a good weekend, take a couple deep breaths, and try not to think about it overly much, yeah? :/
