So I tend to draw this guy a lot lately. He's a 'Warcat' character that I originally created as a band mascot (a sort of embodiment of heavy metal) back in the day. I based the idea on the belief that cats guard the gates to the inner most circle of hell, crossing that with theories made by ancient astronaut theorists that extra terrestrials may have had a role in the evolution of early civilization, and came out with a telepathic, bio-genetically engineered feline. His back story that I'm slowly putting together is turning out to be fairly extensive. Basically, he realized his ancient masters were corrupt, and after attempting to flee somehow ended up in modern day United States (most likely a cryo equipped vessel malfunction).
Anyway, Breeg has become embedded in to my psyche, sort of like my inner Batman. He sort of represents not only an embodiment of heavy metal, but a wise, warlike guardian that resides in the shadows of my mind.
Even ended up making a facebook page.
When I first started reading Panthra, I had the idea to make him a fire elemental, but decided just to leave that as just a coincidental fiction of his legend along with making the earth bleed with his claws.
