"aww that’s freaking awesome, cheers for the info mate" Came a muffled voice from the pile. Soon after a set of legs pushed their way out of the bottom the pile and arms from the top. The woman pulled herself out of the pile and almost trotted to the fridge.

"Come on, come on where is it" starting to shiver now and in slight desperation she fumbles through the contents of this Narnia like fridge. "AH HA" holding above her triumphantly a bottle of Zubrowka vodka. She hurried back to her castle of warmth and snuggled down with her face and hands hanging out.

Ethan stalked back into the room, the raw meat he had grabbed earlier thawed and dripping in his hands. He threw it into the trash and went over to the fridge, crunching the glass on the floor and squelching through the spilled liquid in his clothes that he'd found near his cell. Noticing the beer, he grabbed one, used the side of the counter to pop the top, and sat down next to a mountain of pillows with arms holding onto a vodka bottle.

Ethan stared for a moment and then turned away, focusing on the wall in front of him, and took a huge swig.

"You alright there?" asked the pile, a girls head sticking out now. "I'm Jackie, vodka?" the girl continued, taking a swig and screwing her face up as the clear liquid hit her tongue. "Ahhh that's the stuff."

Ethan looked over at her again, and took another swig, sighing, "Kind of. I couldn't find the person I was looking for. You'd think with who they were they wouldn't be hard to find, but jeez!"

Then he did a double take. "Wait... there's vodka?" Ethan's face brightened up. He looked around the room and saw a small stove, and he smiled. Walking over to the fridge/freezer, Ethan pulled out a bag of penne noodles. Next he opened a cupboard and pulled out some canned diced tomatoes, herbs, spices, and mushrooms. Then he found a skillet, a pan, and a box of matches. Turning the stove on high, he put a little water in the skillet, added the tomatoes, a few herbs and spices, and mushrooms. Then Ethan turned back to Jackie and asked for the bottle of vodka.

"Kind of" The words rang in her head a little, she knew from experience that 'kind of' usually meant no. Hearing the slight depression in tainting his voice, as he told her his predicament.

"Wait... there's vodka?"

As he stood up to start this routine preparation of food her words trailed after him. "It’s not just vodka its polish vodka best in the world" taking another swig. He put his hand toward her as to ask "may I have the vodka please" hesitant to hand the vodka over she asks "what you planning on doing with it?"

"What you planning on doing with it?"

The ultimate question... Ethan sighed once again, "What does it look like? I'm going to make some real food. I learned to do this from a restaurant back home. This could be considered three-star food -- four-star if done fresh -- and there is enough vodka in that bottle to make plenty for everyone here, if you're willing to give up the alcohol part of it. Hence the matches."

"if you're willing to give up the alcohol part of it."

'If I’m willing to give up the alcohol part of it.' "Hmm" she takes another swig. "Ok but i get first taste, ok" smiling sweetly as she holds at the vodka to him. "So umm what’s ya name?, can’t really be calling you cook."

The vodka had heated up somewhat in Jackie’s grasp and the warmth was emanating from her hand as she held it out towards him. Her tummy groaned quietly from beneath the mound of pillows, showing she was far hungrier than she'd like people to know.

Joanne, having stared semi-vacantly into the air for a few moments caught in her own thoughts, glanced up when a girl and a boy next to her found some vodka somewhere. The boy got some food out of the cupboards and reached out for the bottle, though the girl seemed hesitant to hand it over, asking what he was going to use it for. Joanne wondered idly why it mattered much - the boy didn't seem to be the kind to chug alcohol on a regular basis.
"What does it look like? I'm going to make some real food," the boy replied.
This seemed to be acceptable for the girl, since she took one more swig and handed it over, though she demanded the first taste. Joanne wandered over curiously.
"Mind if I watch?" she asked the boy, gesturing towards the ingredients. "I'm a lousy cook, so I'd like to see how other people prepare food so I might learn something," she explained. "If I'm being nosy, though, just say so, okay?"

((Gah! Ninja'd by Key!))

She debated for a moment then agreed with, "Ok but i get first taste, ok? So umm what’s ya name? Can’t really be calling you cook."

Ethan smiled, it had been a while since he had gotten the chance to make penne with vodka sauce. Taking the bottle he complied with her request, adding on, "My name is Lee."

"Mind if I watch?" asked another girl, looking over his shoulder. "I'm a lousy cook, so I'd like to see how other people prepare food so I might learn something. If I'm being nosy, though, just say so, okay?"

"It's fine," he popped back. "Though you may want to stand back when I pull out the matches. If you want to help, would ya' mind finding a colander to strain the water from the noodles once I get them started?"

jackie withdrew her hands into the castle and snuggled into it. Looking up contently at the two cooking away. It brought a smile to her face 'two seemingly strangers working for a common goal, food is such a great thing'. The thought however had a second edge to it, reminding her of how hungry she was yet again.

As Ethan finally started the noodles, he heard Jackie's stomach growling. She was in for a rough ride, as he could already smell the sauce starting to simmer. It would be time to add the vodka soon.

((What can I say? I'm the great ninja Yuffie! XD))

Joanne nodded, smiling at the boy. Finding stuff was within her range of abilities. She got up and looked through some of the cupboards, which were mostly empty save for a glass or (in a cupboard Joanne closed with the speed of light) a few spiderwebs. The fifth cupboard she opened held the colander she was looking for. Success! Joanne cheered inwardly, pulling it out of the cupboard. It looked clean enough, so she put it on the counter and leaned against the counter, watching the boy cook. (She was definitely not jealous, nope, no sirree. Totally not jealous at how he could cook while her variant of cooking involved putting something in the microwave and pressing "start".)
"So, what's your name?" she asked, making an attempt at small talk. "I haven't seen you before."

"Lee that smells sooo good" She sounded genuinely impressed. "how long will it take" in contrast she says this with a slight whine to her voice, making a slight slurping as she swallows back some saliva.

(going out on the town now, may post again tonight. Just say i munch much food and slept in the castle of warmy goodness)

Ethan answered the same way he had with Jackie, and continued cooking. He was really getting into it now, pouring the vodka into the skillet. Warning people to stand back, he lit a match and carefully lowered it toward the mixture, then pulled back quickly as the flame just barely touched the surface and caused the sauce to flare up with an orange fireball. Ethan let the orangeish concoction simmer on medium-low while he took the boiling noodles and poured them into the colander. Then got down some bowls and discovered the silverware, put noodles in the bowl and added the vodka sauce on top of it, handing it to Jackie, warning her it was hot.

Ethan watched as she slowly started to eat it, wincing as it burned her tongue a bit and then start putting it away in her stomach. He then made one for himself, and the girl who had watched, and went around asking the others if they cared to try it.

((About to go to bed, but yeah, felt the need to post here finally))

Kia trotted down the halls, following the scent of food, in a bid to get away from all the noise of the cages. In her normal form, her sense of smell was back to normal, and she followed the smell with interest, having not eaten for a while.

Shifting back to human, so as not to get discoveed she opened the door of the room the scent came from, only to be greeted by a spout of fire coming from the device the humans used to burn their food. Startled she stepped back, instictively closeing her eyes and moving away from the fire, not noticing who it was doing the cooking.

Watching the young man cook the food, Damien let the smells wash over him. By the time Ethan had finished, he'd made up his mind.

"Is there enough for a starving man?" Damien asked, stepping forward. "Might just be the hunger, but I ain't smelled anything that good in months."

Having smelled the food the entire time it was cooking Reain jumped to his paws as he saw it being served out to other people. Communicating was hard but he knew the universal sign for "feed me," as he started meowing the Meow Mix song.

Having watched the cooking with some interest, Alix stood up after the sunburned man, who was saying "Might just be the hunger, but I ain't smelled anything that good in months."
"Sure smells better than anything I can remember." he walked over to Lee, and grabbed a bowl. "Mind if I get a serving, Lee?" His stomach rumbled as he asked, as if to accent his hunger.

Everyone was grabbing a bowl of the food, some even pushing their way around Ethan to get at it. "I thought I made enough for everyone, but if this keeps up I may need to get another full bottle of vodka!"

As he got out of the line of fire he saw the wolf-girl standing in the doorway. How long had she been there? he thought. Then seeing how she was on guard he figured that she walked in as he set the sauce on fire, so was being cautious. Walking over he engaged her again, "Hey! I've been looking for you. Ya' know, you never did tell me your name. But before we get to that, come on in and have a sit. I'll see if I can find anything that might fit your taste, 'cause I can almost guarantee that you won't like what I just made over there."

Kat was stunned by the scence in front of her. Two grown men talking about their innoculation powers as if they were new toys in their playground at school. The red-headed british man particularily irritated her but she let it slide. It was not her place to reprimand these...fellow innoculees? Something nagged Kat from the back of her mind to talk to these people.

"Est-ce que.. quelque chose.. est erronée?" these words so hesitanly spoken snapped Kat from her thoughts. Forgetting the rude men who had ignored her polite request Kat tried to figure out a response to the young woman. She had not meant to call attention to herself by using 'monsieur' but it seemed she had. Kat decided to reply in English, the girls words weren't wrong they just didn't sound right to Kat. Perhaps the quiet lady had learnt French at school and very likely a differnt dialect to Swiss French.

"I am ok, Miss?" she tried, "I'd prefer to speak in English at the moment as I don't want to alienate anyone else in this room." Yes that sounded polite, Kat took a deep breath as she opened the fridge and retrieved the cream and a chocolate milk that she spotted.
"I was just trying to get some cream," she poured the cream into Cecillia's coffee mug that she had been holding. "I'm sorry to leave as soon as I came, I promised Cecillia a cup of hot coffee. I'll...see you around." Kat stumbled on the odd colloquial words at the end of her speech to the woman, she had learnt the phase during her time at university in the UK but was never really comfortable with using it. She then pruposefully walked out of the room with a mug of coffee, her own empy coffee mug and the bottle of chocolate milk that she'd been pleased to discover. I must inform the cleaning stuff of the mess that those men created, she thought as what looked like a walking pile of pillows shuffled past her and into the room.

(This was such a pain to post, I can't wait till next week when I can use a REAL computer.)
