((FYI, Austin's starting in cage #35, next to where Ethan was))
Like yesterday, Austin was sulking in the back corner of his cage, arms crossed and a look on his face that said, "Yeah, I'm pissed, what'r'you gonna do about it?". He had watched in silence as people were led out of their cages one by one that morning, including the mutt in the cage next to him, and was making bets with himself on how long he and others were going to survive this place. He felt an odd pang in the back of his neck, but didn't think much of it, having experienced the same feeling periodically ever since being 'tested' the first day. He didn't like the idea of being a big lizard, nor was he at all happy about upchucking what little food was in his stomach onto the tile floor there. But then he felt the pang again, just maybe a minute after, when yesterday they came maybe hours apart. His arms uncrossed for the first time a while when he felt it again, hand going up to rub the back of his neck. The massage didn't stop the pangs from coming, though, and soon he felt them not only in his neck but in his back, arms, legs, head.... Soon his body was aching all over; letting out a yell, he felt like his skin decided to explode off him, and he fell to the floor.
He let out a long hiss, trying to grit through he pain of transforming. Something in his gut or low in his neck was also revolting at the change, and he pressed his scaly snout into the ground in attempt to control the urge to give in to the apparent churning inside him. He failed, though, and through a massive uncontrolled spasm, the foul-smelling liquid burst from his mouth, coating the bars around the touching front corners of his cage and the one next to him, as well as the magnetic lock device on the door to his cage. The Komodo thought that was it, having only spat once in his lizardly state two days ago, but he soon felt the same churning well up inside him again, and while he tried to fight the feeling down again, he got the same result, this time his random spasm sending the acid even farther, splashing the bars on the other side of his cage, as well as several bars on the two cages in that direction, even splashing a little bit on the lynx two cages down. The feeling thankfully didn't return, but he felt incredibly empty.... He collapsed on to his stomach, completely worn out for some reason.
The guards on duty heard the hissing and spitting, and one came over to the Komodo's cage to see what the fuss was about. The inoculee seemed obviously out-of-commission now, however he had worn himself out, and the guard was about to brush the occurrence off as nothing important when he noticed something was happening to the bars of the cages which had been coated by the dragon's.... bile? "Yo, we got a situation over here!" he called out to his comrade, in a tone that communicated importance if not a pressing threat. "Okay.... hang on a moment, getting a message from command...." A moment later, the second guard walked over to the cage of the offender and noticed the disappearing bars on this and the nearby cages. The magnetic lock of cage 35 made an odd sound at that point, and the cage door slipped ajar. "Huh, funny coincidence, that.... this guy's supposed to be moved to B-block today. And now his cage is out of commission. And he looks out right now, too. Better be safe, though...." He pulled out a tranquilizer and shot one dose into the flank of the dragon. It jumped a bit, but was to tired to really move that much, and a minute or so later his head tilted to the side on the floor, the large lizard now completely unconscious. "What about the others?" the first guard asked, pointing to cages thirty-four and -seven, -six having been emptied earlier that day. "The doors aren't compromised as far as I can tell, but I don't like the idea of cages with large sections weakened or completely gone." "Eh, we can probably just move them into other empty cages. Put the girl in thirty, the cheetah's old cage, and the lynx can go into thirty one." "Wha?" came a call from the cage just mentioned. "Oh, right," the second guard said, walking over to the girl in cage thirty one. "I'm told you're going to join Mr. Komodo in B-block." The first guard radioed for some others to come in and help them with what was apparently going to be a game of 'musical cages'.
((So, yes, I hope people understand what just happened there. Sorry to those people in cages 16-25, I apparently lied; this post took longer than I thought and I didn't get around to you yet. I will next post, promise.)) ((If there's any confusion, cages 34-37 are now out of order, Caden's cage 30 now holds an NPC female, and Sam's moving to cage 31, which previously held another NPC female.)) ((Also, if people want to RP other things happening, three other cages (6, 39, 40) will have their occupants joining B-block. If you do mention these NPCs being taken, though, try to not specify anything about them, if possible.))
