Actually, none of the characters in the RP will have pendants, at least not anytime soon. I believe Lithas was the first to decree that. Mentioned in various places around the world-building subforum.

-edit-
Found it: post #62 or 63 in the "Panthera RP" thread, though I was wrong in thinking Lithas was "first" - the decree came from him, but it had been discussed in the thread earlier.

Then I would say the emblem designs aren't necessary then.

Weighing in on the absorbing-cold question:

"Absorbing cold" is equivalent to shunting heat--rather than sucking the cold out of your target, you're pushing your body heat into it. Leaving aside the logistics of how you're pushing the heat, this could work rather nicely, since thermodynamics tells us that pushing heat from one object into another object of equal or greater temperature requires energy expenditure (thus, your refrigerator needs electricity to shuttle heat out of your frozen food into your room-temperature air). So, your character could "absorb cold" from basically anything, but the warmer it was, the more taxing it would be on her.

I like that idea a whole a lot. I'd want to keep the idea that the environment or object has to have a certain degree of temperature difference since that's a good limiter, but as the character reaches the limits of what they can get cold from, that could also provide a bit of extra drawback and drain.

Quote:
But since you've answered my questions in such a way as to make me understand your core meaning, I can now safely tell my brain to shut up about this. And I would now like to offer my apologies; when you said "absorb cold", I never thought to compare it to the stone bench in my backyard. Had I done so in the first place, I would never have questioned it.

Alright, fair enough. Just an error in communication!

My guys name is Ethan Lee Tirquette. His inoculated form is a wolf with the ability to let go a sonic howl that can disorient, and in some cases temporarily deafen, his foes. He also has a brief foresight ability that occurs at random and lets him see a few seconds into the future. During a fight he can expand his aura to strengthen his allies resolve and boost their fighting abilities, but not much.

Wolf, we're not meant to be posting applications here. I know it started like that, but it was decreed they were put into seperate threads. Here is just to discuss character ideas, not the actual profiles.

On a different note, 4 seems a little young for someone to willing take a bullet for someone else. And although it is wolves ight take in babies, 4 seems a little old for that, but those are my opinions, and I'm not in charge so *shrug*

But yeah when your finished make a seperate thread like the others. Or if you need help, ask here.

((Note: Sorry if that came out grouchy.mean. I'm tried/stressed atm. It's not meant to be))

Hello again. Many apologies for the sudden mysterious absence. On the plus side, I had time (a lot of time. Starting to hate the VA waiting room.) to develop my character. If "Oncia" meanse "ounce..." Manipulating his own mass, maybe? Not useful in actual combat, but a tiny leopard would be a good spy, yes?

Actually, it would be highly effective in combat- you would be completely invulnerable to bullets.

Um... hi! I'm a newbie and want to rp ^^ I'm just here making sure that my power and stuff is ok.

My idea for a power is that she can generate and/or control light particles. So if she was in a fight she could temporarily blind a person by flashing a really bright light at them, or take all the light particles away from the enemy, making them in effect blind since you need light to see.

So yeah ^^'

Hm... It's not often I see people choose to have a primarily support-based superpower. I have to admit, I'm intrigued.

I've got no actual authority, but I am intrigued.

Damn brain. It won't stop thinking of characters. I'm going to post the animal and power here, just so I don't have to remember them myself.

First, back to my original mosquito. New power this time, Propagation. Those it bites painlessly and transform into mindless mosquito minions for a few minutes. Afterward, they have no recollection of their activities, and are immune to further transformation by mosquito.

Second, a duck with the ability to store up to three pounds of oxygen in their eyes. They can release it along their direct line of sight. The eyes inflate as more is absorbed, and it can take the oxygen from anything, as it separates the individual atoms while absorbing, though distance and the strength of the bonds between the atoms affect how quickly it steals them.

Lastly, a ferret with the ability to flatten. It doesn't get any longer and can't move away from the surface it flattened to, it just loses a dimension.

There... now those concepts can sit somewhere other than my head. Feel free to use whatever you want from them, I'm happy with what I have.

Right. I'll be sure to move it soon.

I'll post up an application soon. Gonna read up as much as I can on what's been discussed.

In particular, I would suggest heading over to the World-Building sub-forum and reading up the "Panthera RP?" and "A.A.Q." threads.

Heh. Guilty. (Technically I'd joined, but never posted, but yeah)

Anyway I don't think it's terrible. It just shows your enthusiastic about Rping (I think). Anyway yeah, like Cy said Panthera RP and AAQ are good one to read. In posting here I presumed you;ve read this one? Anyway if you haven't (At least not [orperly) I suggest here too, so you get an idea of other characters, and can make yours different (Or use some ideas they've come up with of course)

Well, the number of people interested is creeping near and maybe past thirty by now, so I think partial duplication is near unavoidable now. ^.^''

Haha, yes, I have read. Mhm, I'm very enthusiastic about forum RP, I've been doing it for more than 9 years.

Working on a character - and hoping that somewhere along the way it doesn't mimic any other character that I might've missed.

Ah, give us a little credit!

...

And then, though it saddens me, I realize that I have seen plenty of first-time RPers do exactly that. And some not first-timers.
