The tall guy simply nodded as he sat down, while the coke guy responded
"Oh, really? I don't remember seeing you in the other room. You one of us," he gestured at himself, and then nodded at the guy with the sword, "or one of them?"
"Oh? Is it a bad thing to be one of Us?" the sword guy interjected as he got up and headed over to the fridge. Caden didn't like the fact that coke guy had said something that could potentially anger one of the people who looked like they had the authority to hurt just about anyone they wanted, but he shrugged it off - sword guy seemed to have just inserted that comment to make a point as he went to go get food. (Caden noticed a little girl had entered the room a moment ago, trying to get some coffee herself - though she's a bit young for it he thought - and the young woman from the cell next to his came in a moment later.)
He decided to answer coke guy's question with one of his own:
"Well, can you transform?"

(I was just ninja'd by four people, and with the new info, I have to rewrite almost my entire post! )

Drawn by the rich scents in the room, a large but not over-large coyote stepped through the open door. Sitting on the floor just inside the room, he let his gaze flow over the scene, sweeping his eyes past the gathered people and the offered refreshments.

When the coyote spotted the fridge, he pushed himself onto all four feet and trotted toward it, stopping about a meter away to wait behind the two others who had gotten there first.

While he was waiting for his turn, the coyote relaxed his body, let himself slump to the ground and shifted smoothly, much of his fur turning blue as it receded into his human form to become a plain blue tee and jeans.

Rising to his feet, Damien approached the open fridge and the soldier next to it. "That's a beautiful blade," he said. "I've never seen its equal."

"Well now, what do we have here?" said a voice behind and above her.

Sabra swallowed a shriek, squeaking in surprise. She hadn't heard anyone approaching. She turned around slowly and summoned her most innocent grin. As far as anyone else knew, she was allowed to have coffee. Right?

"A little girl trying to get a drink?" the man (the really big man!) continued. "Wouldn't you prefer something from the fridge?"

Sabra opened her eyes wide as she shrugged. "Nah," she said. "I like coffee. My hooyo lets me drink coffee all the time! It's very good for little girls," she added.

She held out her empty cup expectantly. He was tall. He could pour her a cup full of coffee!

"Hey! Its cheetah-guy!" Caine waved enthusiastically and stepped by the coyote just as it was starting to look more like a person. What a weird place this is, really. She shrugged and snatched an orange from a counter with a bowl of fruit and took a seat. Starting from the top, Caine started to peel the orange.
Mmm.. it smelled so good.. Just like Claymore, that little cafe in the basement of one of the newer dorms. What I wouldn't give for a coconut milk steamer right now.. It was always so nice to take a break from studying and go grab one.

"Whoops, sorry." the tapered girl, about his age, clutched a mini carton of milk and got out of his way. "Just really thirsty, you know?"
Alix snorted a chuckle out his nose as he reached for his Snickers and Apple Juice, hearing the man behind him "That's a beautiful blade," the man, just slightly taller than Alix himself said, "I've never seen its equal."
Slightly bemused, he took a step away from the fridge, letting the man get to its contents, then replied "Thank you. It seems to attract more attention that I thought it would. Glad you like my craftsmanship though."

"Actually, I'm not really one to judge the craftsmanship of a sword," Damien chuckled as he looked into the fridge. "I've never seen its equal, because outside of kung-fu and King Arthur movies, I've never seen a sword before at all. I just happen to like looking at shiny things."

Reaching into the fridge, he pulled out a 20 oz. bottle of root beer, closing the door with his other hand. "I'd almost forgotten how much I've missed this," he said half to himself, opening the bottle slowly so as not to be ambushed by the fizz.

Rolling his eyes at the taller man's 'shiny things' comment, Alix flopped back down into the chair and tore at the snickers wrapper with his teeth, spitting the end of it into the cup holder in the left arm of the chair. Taking a bite out of the bar, he rolled his eyes in simple pleasure Ah Snickers, that greatest of all treat bars... his thoughts wandered off as he focused on the flavor of the candy.

Ethan slipped in his own opinion of Alix's sword, "It is a beautiful blade indeed."

Then looking at the big guy (who was bigger than Ethan first thought) said, "How's that nose and noggin holding up?" and took another sip of his coffee.

Chuckling to himself despite the situation, Derrik said to the tenacious girl,
"Howabout i pour a small cup first, taste it, and tell me if you want more."
Just as he took the cup, the guy who yelled at the guards beating him up earlier said,
"How's that nose and noggin holding up?"
Derrik touched the bandage on his nose.
"Better now, I guess, but I still can't stand the nerve of that guy."
Nodding at the man Derrik added,
"Thanks for asking."
Finishing pouring the small cup of decaf coffee into the cup he handed it to the little girl who looked a little upset,
"Don't worry, I bet your father would not endorse this."

"Alright, I have to ask, why all the comments on my sword? Yes, I realize that I may have gone a little overboard with the design, but I hardly think it requires this much attention"

Slouching in the chair, Alix began eyeing everyone in the room cautiously, thinking they had planned something for him, possibly a trap of some kind. If they had, he certainly couldn't see it, but why else would they keep bringing his sword up? Was there something on it? He quickly drew it, examined both sides, and then checked the sheath.

Sabra accepted the hot cup with glee. She curled both hands around it and put her nose right over the rim. She closed her eyes and inhaled, pulling the rich scent straight into her lungs. She sighed in content.

She opened her eyes and smiled at the big man. "Thank you, mister," she said. She didn't say anything about her father 'endorking' this.

Pealing a hand away from her cup, she thrust it out. "I'm Sabriyya," she announced.

Smiling to himself, Derrik crouched down, and shook her hand, saying,
"Nice to meet you Sabriyya, I'm Derrik."
Whispering to himself,
"And I'll make sure your safe from harm as long as I can prevent it."

"Better now, I guess, but I still can't stand the nerve of that guy," said the big guy. "Thanks for asking." He then turned his attention to a little girl asking for a cup of coffee.

"Alright, I have to ask, why all the comments on my sword? Yes, I realize that I may have gone a little overboard with the design, but I hardly think it requires this much attention," shot Alix. It was like he thought we were going to jump him or something.

"Your sword is fine, and calm yourself. Your messing up the zen. I just like swords, and I've been teaching myself Kendo, so I thought I'd ask about yours," Ethan chuckled. This was the first time he'd gotten a chance to get a good look at Alix. But there was a more pertinent question on his mind, "You know if the wolf-girl is gonna show up any time soon?"

His hand ate hers right up, and Sabra marveled at the bigness of it. She was used to grown ups being big, of course, but honestly!

"Thanks Mr. Derrik," she said, pulling her hand back to curl around the coffee. She liked that he crouched down to get to her eye level, like she was someone important. No one accept teachers did that with her.

"You're real big," she observed, sniffing her coffee again. "I bet you're a super hero. Do you turn into Mighty Mouse? 'Cause that would be super cool."

Smiling, and laughing at the innocence of this girl giving the situation, he replied to her question,
"Unfortunetly, I'm no more a super hero then we all are now. I'm just a big boy, trying to make his way through life best he can."
Finishing the thought he could feel a single tear roll down his cheek, before he quickly brushed it away.
*Best not think about that in public.* he thought to himself.
"Want to go sit down?" Derrik asked Sabriyya, "I could give you a ride on my shoulders, if you want."

"Heh." Alix said, relaxing slightly. Perhaps you are taking this too harshly. Not everyone here is Prestor after all. You know her little secret then? She wanders around at her own whim. She'll likely show up in here eventually." He took a gulp of his juice to wash down the last tiny chunks of peanut still in his mouth from that first bite of Snickers.

Ethan looked over at the big man again. "Hey, Superman, I never got your name, bro."

Then turning back to Alix, picked up the conversation, "It was weird. I don't know how I could tell, but she just smelled different. The constant growling didn't help much either. Man, is she single? Please let her be single!"

"Hey, Superman, I never got you name, bro."
The man who spoke earlier spoke again, this time in a form of a question.
"Haha," Derrik began laughing at this, something about this guy seemed to grow on him, "I'm no more hero then all of us here. The name's Derrik, you?"

Alix blinked at Lee. And blinked again. "The wolf girl? You want a relationship with the Wolf Girl?" People never cease to amaze me. And not always in good ways. "As far as I know, she doesn't have a mate, but who knows? Maybe she has one out in the wild waiting for her to come back. Why should it matter?"
"I'm no more hero then all of us here. The name's Derrik, you?" "You may not be a hero, but you certainly look it. I'd wager that most of the other prisoners will be looking up to you. And not just physically."

(OOC: sorry for that one, but it needed to be said... hope you won't hold it against me too long)

Ethan turned back to Derrik, saying, "Name's Ethan, but just call me Lee."
